Michigan Woman Charged After Threatening Cookeville Walmart

A Michigan woman was charged for trespassing at the Cookeville Walmart Monday night after threatening people inside the store.

Arrest warrants indicate 47-year-old Shannon Ireland was arrested after being asked to leave the store earlier in the evening.

Cookeville Police first responded to the scene when they received reports of Ireland threatening to “kill everyone” and blow up Walmart.

Police escorted her across the street and off the property, telling her she was no longer allowed on the premise.

However, the officer stayed on the property and noticed Ireland walking back towards the store. The officer arrested her for aggravated criminal trespass and booked her into the Putnam County jail on $1,200 bond.

Ireland is scheduled to appear in court March 4.
