McMinnville Police arrested a 23-year-old man Saturday for allegedly pointing a rifle at officers.
Police have charged Samuel Tanner with aggravated assault and theft of property.
According to officials at the McMinnville Police Department, officers responded to a Beersheba Road home after Tanner showed up with a rifle. Tanner allegedly pointed the rifle at responding officers before he fled and stole a Four wheeler.
Tanner eluded authorities for most of the day before he was eventually arrested and taken to jail.
He appears in court Tuesday morning.
