Due to growing COVID-9 cases in McMinnville, City Administrator Nolan Ming has closed facility lobbies effective Monday.
“The threshold is an average of less than 10 new cases per 100,000 over the last 14 days,” Ming said. “This threshold for acceptable disease transmission within the community may be adjusted in the future as we learn more. As of today, we are at 21.47 cases per 100,000 over the past 14 days.”
Face coverings will be required for all city employees and elected officials as well as citizens and contractors entering city facilities. Individuals must also answer screening questions and have their temperature taken.
The Fire Department, Police Department, Bell Street Administration, and Public Works lobbies are all closed beginning Monday. Wellness Center classes at the Mall are cancelled. The Park Theater has been closed to all non-city related business.
Gilley Pool will remain open with 300 patrons maximum. Baseball and softball leagues will continue.
Ming said city employees will remain on the same schedule.
