March 2023 Building Permits Doubled Compared To Last Year

Putnam County building permits for March 2023 doubled compared to March 2022.

Mayor Randy Porter said March had 34 permits for $8.7 million of construction, with 26 of those being for new single-family residential homes. He said the 26 new homes in March was the largest since June 2022.

Porter said the current fiscal year has seen 265 permits for $56.5 million in construction, with 159 of those being new single-family homes.
