Livingston Spring Cleanup Week Starts This Week

The city of Livingston will be having Spring Cleanup Week starting Monday.

Mayor Curtis Hayes said this event is a perfect way to get rid of their junk that’s cluttering up their spaces.

“This is a good opportunity for folks to clean out their basement, their garage, or any discarded items they just don’t want anymore. City employees will come by and pick it up curbside Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m,” said Hayes.

The only exception to the pick up are items like construction materials, paint materials, tires, or things of that nature.

Hayes said he hopes people will take advantage of the chance to enhance the appearance of the city.

“The goal is to make Livingston prettier, to beautify the city, to allow residents and businesses to get rid of discarded items they longer use that could perhaps be an eyesore to their neighbors,” said Hayes.

To schedule a pick up, call Livingston City Hall. The Cleanup Week ends Friday at 4 p.m.
