Livingston Celebrating Halloween On The 31st

Livingston will observe Halloween on the 31st Monday night.

Mayor Curtis Hayes said city police will be out that night ensuring trick-or-treaters are safe.

“We’ll be out in full force along with all of our public safety employees, police and fire,” Hayes said. “Trying to make sure that everybody is safe and have a good Halloween holiday. We certainly want it to be a treat, not a trick.”

Hayes said the city encourages that all underage children are attended by a guardian that night. Hayes said reflective gear is also recommended. Hayes said if you want to hand out candy, just turn your front house lights on.

Hayes said the Saturday before Halloween will be the city’s Fall-O-Ween celebration at the city square.
