Jamestown Rotary Club Offering Annual Ornaments

The Jamestown Rotary Club is offering its locally themed Christmas ornaments, as the club celebrates its 75th anniversary.

Jamestown Rotary Club President Debbie York said this is the fourth year they’ve sold ornaments. This year, the welcome to Jamestown sign the rotary club built over 8 years, has been selected.

York said buying one of these ornaments helps the club, help kids.

“100 percent of the money goes into proceeds that fund our scholarships for our two local high schools,” York said. “It’s a great cause, they make great gifts and we’re delighted it’s become such a wonderful tradition around Christmas time.”

However, York said supporting the club helps with more than scholarships. She said the rotary club picks projects every year to help the Jamestown Community.

“We pick a project around the community, a beautification project or something that’s needed around the community every year, to sponsor,” York said. “We just had our Radio-a-Thon to sponsor over 400 children’s Christmases in the community.”

York said the new ornaments are available by calling (931) 879-8111, by email at JamestownRotary@gmail.com and messaging the Jamestown Rotary Club’s Facebook page. The new ornaments cost $20 or someone can catch up and pay $20 for all three of the previous ornaments.
