Three Jackson County youth are safe following a four-hour afternoon search Tuesday by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
Tuesday afternoon, Captain Dennis Thrasher and Sergeant Daniel Cummings traveled some 400 yards along a logging road near the residence where the children were last seen. The juveniles located beneath a steep ravine just off the road at around 4:00pm.
At approximately 12:30pm Tuesday, the department responded to a report of three missing juveniles in the Martin Ridge community, ages six, eight, and ten. The department worked alongside Jackson County EMA, EMS, Rescue Squad, and Putnam County Sheriff’s Department k-9 units throughout the comprehensive search.
