Jackson County Flooding Washes Out Waterlines

Jackson County has experienced significant utility damage due to flooding and rainfall over the weekend.

The Jackson County Utility District has seen waterlines washout, leaving many customers without water at this time.

Those areas include:

Schelley Knob

Williford Lane

Ft Blount Ferry Rd

Flynn’s Creek

Hunting Creek Rd

Riley Creek Rd

Pine Lick Rd

Crabtree Creek Rd

Old SR 85 Hwy

Draper Hollow Ln

S. Fork Rd

Landmark Ln

Two Hawks Ln

Hurricane Hollow Ln

Harmony Rd

Dryden Ln

Acorn Ln

Big Bottom Rd

Cattle Ln

Wards Fork Rd

Jennings Creek Hwy

Keeling Branch Rd

 If residents are out of water and are not in one of the following areas please contact the Jackson County Utility District office at 931-268-2880.

Jackson County EMA Spokesperson Woolbright said they are currently assisting Mabry Health Care and Rehab Center with a water shortage. Woolbright said Emergency Management is providing drinking water to the facility.

He said during operations a Jackson County Utility District dump truck was involved in a crash. He said the truck was caught in running water in the Flynns Lick area.
