Jackson Co. Chamber To Implement New Branded Signage To Boost Tourism

Jackson County Chamber of Commerce has unveiled new branded signage to be placed around the community that will increase tourism traffic.

Director Hope Vargas said the signs will all have brands and logos for key points in the county. She said the idea is to have all the signs under the same umbrella so you know exactly where you are and what is related to where you are.

“So maybe whenever you’re headed toward Cummins Falls you will see these signs,” Vargas said. “And then on your way back from the falls you might see some other signage heading toward the interstate and think ‘Oh, I wonder what else Jackson County might have to offer.'”

Vargas said the key locations for the tourism signs will be Cummins Falls, Granville, and Downtown Gainesboro. She said there will also be directional signs so that in rural areas you can find your way around even if your signal drops.

Vargas said the signs were funded by ARP money. She said the chamber was instructed to use those dollars for things they would not otherwise be able to afford to purchase.
