Applications for Highlands Residential Services’ Oak Tree Towers could be available this spring.
Executive Director Dow Harris said construction for the 50 unit apartment complex on Buffalo Valley Road is back on track.
“The interest is getting more,” Harris said. “We are seeing more interest, or more people speaking toward Oak Tree Towers as they come into the door, because they are seeing the construction take place, and I think it is coming along very well.”
During Thursday’s Board meeting, Harris said a separate waiting list will be made for the housing complex. All other residents on other waiting lists will receive notification for when the application process begins.
“We are beginning to see some interest coming into to the door with some residents specifically inquiring about it,” Harris said. “How to apply and some saying hey I would like to live there.”
Harris said the organization is expecting up to 150 applicants. Only people 62 and older are eligible. Highlands Residential Services are currently taking names for people interested.
