HomeGoods, a national retail chain specializing in home decor, will soon open in Cookeville’s Jackson Plaza.
The company is expected to take nearly 20,000 square feet of the former Sears location within the shopping center.
Construction began late last fall to renovate the old storefront between T.J. Maxx and Rack Room Shoes. Contractors estimate the storefronts will be completed by early summer of this year.
The other 55,000 square feet of the old Sears location will be occupied by Hobby Lobby, who will move from their current location along South Jefferson Avenue later this year.
HomeGoods will be the second business under the TJX Companies corporate umbrella to open in Cookeville. The new location will neighbor sister-brand T.J. Maxx in the shopping center.
