Cookeville’s Newest Hotel Officially Opens; Home2Suites Ribbon Cutting

Cookeville’s newest hotel celebrated its official opening Thursday night, as Home2 Suites held the ribbon cutting on its 102-room facility.

General Manager Misty Reed said the South Jefferson Avenue hotel has been extremely well-received by the community and has been booked up since the moment it opened. Reed said the hotel will be a major upgrade for a rapidly growing city.

“It’s amazing,” Reed said. “The fact of how much this town has grown in the last five to ten years, it’s unreal. We’re the next Nashville, for sure. It’s happening, and this is just the first of many that we’ll have.”

Reed said the Clarion Inn that used to occupy the building was a staple in the community, but it was time for a newer, upscale product.

“I’ve been in hospitality and the hotel business here in Cookeville for a little over the decade,” Reed said. “We’ve needed a place like this. It’s just a real improvement from where it was.”

The hotel includes a conference room, business center, fitness center, and an indoor pool.
