Heart of The Cumberland Triples Location Size

Heart of The Cumberland has tripled the size of its facility in Cookeville.

The new location is on West Broad Street in Cookeville. Director Tammy Wilson said the new office will keep their support groups in-house.

“We’re able to offer our groups on site instead of using a different location to host our grief support groups,” Wilson said.

Heart of Cumberland has open registration for grief support groups starting on September 8th. They are offering a support group for survivors of the March Tornado.

“We still look at ways maybe to expand the days of the week that we host the groups we’re still a little bit limited during the COVID season that we are going through,” Wilson said.

Currently Heart of the Cumberland hosts a bereaved moms group, a men’s group for loss of a loved one, children and teens who have lost a loved one and a family group for tornado survivors. You do not have to have lost a loved one to join the tornado group.

The move to 25 West Broad Street was completed in late June.
