A Trousdale County crash claimed the life of a Hartsville woman Monday night.
The single vehicle accident happened at 324 Halltown Road.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the deceased driver as 50-year-old Anita R. Stafford. A THP crash report said Stafford’s 2005 Chevy Malibu left the right side of the roadway and collided head-on with a tree.
A passenger, identified as 52-year-old Troy A. Claiborne, suffered unspecified injuries.
Stafford and Claiborne were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, according to the report.
