Hartsville Man Arrested On Aggravated Kidnapping Charges

A Hartsville man officially faces charges for a November 2017 kidnapping.

A Trousdale County Grand jury indicted 39-year-old Jeffrey Allen this week on three counts of aggravated kidnapping. He’s under $100,000 bond at the Trousdale County Jail.

Trousdale County authorities and TBI investigators said Allen was armed when he entered a Claiborne Street home with to other men and demanded money. The subjects allegedly bound three people inside the home before placing a male victim inside the trunk of a vehicle and driving away.

The victim managed to escape the next morning and called 911 from a home near Lebanon.

Authorities arrested Allen earlier this week and will appear in court later this week.
