Harper To Serve Another Term As TTU Board Chair

Trudy Harper will serve another term as the Tennessee Tech Board of Trustees Chair.

Harper’s term will now extend until July 2025. She was the only nominee.

“I feel compelled to say before we vote, this wasn’t what any of us had expected, of course, I didn’t expect to do another two years,” Harper said. “Someone told me last night I had the COVID ‘red shirt’ over my second term so that’s kind of what happened there.”

Joining Harper as Vice Chair will be Rhedona Rose. Rose will also serve on the Academic And Student Affairs Committee. Fred Lowery will take over as the third member of the Executive Committee.

“Trudy you’ve done an outstanding job and the board is honored to have you do that again,” Trustee Tom Jones said. “So thank you so much.”

Johnny Stites will chair the Audit Committee. The next Student Trustee will be Addison Dorris, a rising senior from Portland, Tennessee.
