Grand Jury Indicts Man on Aggravated Animal Cruelty

A grand jury  indicted an Algood man on an aggravated animal cruelty charge Monday.

The Algood Police Department reports Corey Marc Mullins was charged after beating his dog to death.

An investigation by APD into the dog’s death led to several interviews with witnesses, which were turned over to the grand jury as evidence.

Mullins was booked into the Putnam County Jail Sunday afternoon for an unrelated trespassing charge. His bond has increased from $500 to $20,000.
