First Annual Middle Tennessee Cornbread Festival In Smithville

The first annual Middle Tennessee Cornbread Festival for Smithville takes place Saturday.

Center Hill Events Owner Tracey Ludwig said picking the theme was simple, putting food in the title draws a crowd. Ludwig said that admission is free and there are over 100 craft and food vendors lined up.

“We have live music playing pretty much all day,” Ludwig said. “Then all of our food booths have to have a cornbread item.”

Ludwig said that if kids are not a fan of cornbread, there will be a kids zone featuring bounce houses, a train ride and more.

“We’re doing a giveaway, we have a kayak with a paddle and a cooler, then we have like 30 door prizes that we’re giving away,” Ludwig said. “Once you get there you just put your name in and you have to be present to win.”

The Middle Tennessee Cornbread festival will be from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM at Greenbrook Park in Smithville. Ludwig said this is Center Hill Events first year putting festivals together.
