A fire destroyed a home off Highway 70 in the Doyle Community Wednesday night.
White County Emergency Management Agency Director Jimmy Savage said the cause of the blaze has not been determined at this time.
“The structure was fully involved when fire departments arrived on scene,” Savage said. “There was four districts involved with roughly 18-20 firemen on scene. They worked on it for about three hours to get it extinguished.”
Savage said no injuries occurred to the firemen or anyone else working near the scene.
“Our fire departments did a superb job,” Savage said. “They handled themselves very professionally and went about their job very well.
Savage said he doesn’t know if the home was being occupied at the time of the fire.
