FEMA Calls Could Show Up As Unidentified

Residents who have applied with FEMA should be on the lookout for phone calls from unidentified phone numbers.

These calls would serve as a follow-up on applications for disaster assistance. Because many emergency assistance workers are teleworking, phone numbers may show up as unknown or unidentified.

When workers call, they will provide you with the applicant’s FEMA identification number, telephone number, address of damaged property and the last four digits of the applicant’s Social Security number.
