Fairfield Glade is hosting a weekend long celebration for Memorial Day.
Director of Marketing Mary Jo Paige said it kicks off early Saturday at 8:00 a.m. with a craft show at the square.
“We have a huge craft show with over 40 vendors with lots of really unique things,” Paige said. “We’ve got knives, goat milk, soaps and lotions. We’ve got handcrafted lamps and lights, birdhouse gourds, handmade pottery. You name it we got it.”
Paige said the craft show continues until 4:00 p.m. and returns at 10:00 a.m. Sunday.
“And during the craft show, we also have a farmer’s market going on Saturday as well as music,” Paige said. “There is special times we have the music, but we have music scheduled Saturday from 11:00 to 1:00, and we also have it scheduled again from 2:00 to 4:00.”
Paige said the live music continues on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Paige said the festivities will be at the corner of Peavine Road and Stonehenge Drive.
“We have a lot of food available,” Paige said. “Lisa’s Kettle Corn is up there and she serves Italian sausage, Philly cheese steaks, hamburgers and hot dogs.”
Paige said things wrap up Monday with a 9:00 a.m. Memorial Day Service and Mirror Lake Blast beginning that evening. Paige said the weekly summer event includes more live music and food vendor.
