Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued an alert for a Cookeville couple missing for more than a year.
TBI Public Information Officer Susan Niland said the agency hopes a recent Facebook post will shed more light on the disappearances.
“So as we will sometimes do in cases where we feel like there could be information out there that could be helpful to the investigation to advancing any kind of lead,” Niland said. “We will just post some information, remind people that the investigation is still active and ongoing.”
Kristie and Henry Wilson have been missing since May 2018. Niland said the bureau began investigating in August 2018.
“And some folks have said, I am from that area and I didn’t know about this. So it is also a way to reach other people in other parts of the state who might have some information that is relevant,” Niland said. “And that is kind of the point. We just want to be able to use platforms that are available to get as many eyes on this as possible.”
Niland said the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
“We just put it out yesterday and because it is an active investigation, we are not able to talk about specifics of any kind of information that we are able to obtain at this point. But anything that does come in is something that will be directed to our agents that are involved in the investigation and will be checked out.”
