Driver Rescued After Vehicle Enters Water In Overton County

Overton County emergency crews conducted a water rescue Wednesday night after a man’s vehicle drove into floodwaters.

Emergency Management Agency officials said the incident happened southwest of Livingston near Hardy’s Chapel Road and Christian Community Road. EMA Director Chris Masiongale said the man did not suffer any injuries.

The agency has reported flooding problems on East Netherland Road between Highway 42 and Highway 111. Drivers should use caution when traveling Highway 42 and East Paran Road. A culvert has stopped up and flooded the roadway.

Flooding has also occurred at multiple locations along Hardy’s Chapel Road and Windle Community Road.
