Dodson Branch Shelter Moved To Center Grove Community Center

A new power outage in the Northern end of Dodson Branch has forced the community’s emergency shelter to be moved.

The new location is the Center Grove Community Center at 113 Seven Knobs Road in Gainesboro. Jackson County EMA is asking any residents in need of shelter placement to call (931) 268-6133 or (931) 268-2556.

Anyone without access to a phone may arrive at any of the three shelter locations to be placed. Due to the threat of more winter weather on Wednesday, those in need of services are urged to contact Jackson County EMA as soon as possible.

The Jackson County Rescue Squad shelter at 703 School Drive and the West End Fire Department at 110 Salt Lick Creek Road are still open.
