Inclement weather and over-saturation have damaged two Cumberland County roadways.
Cumberland County EMA reports TDOT crews are working to repair a portion of Highway 70 between the Crab Orchard and Ozone communities. Crews are working on the eastbound lane and have one lane open for traffic at this time.
Cumberland County Highway Department workers are also trying to repair part of Old Highway 28 just south of the Hinch Mountain area.
EMA officials ask drivers to avoid the area as workers continue to assess and repair the damage. Officials also encourage the public to stay safe as some flood waters have receded but more rain is expected Saturday night.
