Cumberland County Sheriffs deputies and Crossville Police ended a high speed chase down I-40 Sunday with the arrest of a North Carolina man.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol in pursuit of 33-year-old David Vann Edwards Jr. as he approached Cumberland County from the east. Edwards was holding his girlfriend and three children hostage in a Ford Mustang according to the Sheriffs Department.
Sheriffs deputies deployed spike strips in eastern Cumberland County Sunday afternoon. The suspect pulled over near mile marker 318. No one was injured in the chase.
