If you think it’s been a wet year across the Upper Cumberland, the numbers back you up.
The Crossville weather station stands some 18.5 inches above normal in rainfall since the start of 2020. National Weather Service meteorologists reported some 42.2 inches of rain have fallen this year.
So far in May, some 7.1 inches of rain has fallen thus far, making this the 11th wettest May since record-keeping started. Meteorologists said “it should easily” break into the top ten by Friday.
Crossville has seen some 17 inches more rain than Nashville so far this year.
