Crossville City Manager Greg Wood fired Police Chief Dave Beaty today.
Wood said Crossville needed to start on a new path.
“This was a very difficult decision and the Chief served the City for many years. At this time I felt we needed to go in a new direction,” and “I do not want to denigrate the Chief or his service.”
In 2017, Beaty came out of retirement to reclaim the chief position after Police Chief Rodney Shoap was fired.
Beaty served the Crossville Police Office for over thirty years.
