During Tuesday’s Crossville City Council meeting, City Manager Greg Wood delivered his monthly report.
The police department issued 79 citations during the month of October; they logged 87 offenses and made 151 arrests. They reported three juvenile citations and nine juvenile arrests. Police issued zero parking tickets and responded to 125 accidents, including 15 with injuries.
The fire department responded to 198 calls during October. Those included one vehicle fire and 16 vehicle accidents. One hundred nineteen individuals were transported by Cumberland County EMS; 44 did not require transport. Four calls were false alarms and five were brush/trash fires. There were two smoke scares and one cooking fire. Most significantly, there were zero structure fires.
October water-loss figures were up from the prior month at 21%… but the September water-loss figure was 5%.
Income from Fiscal Year-to-date city building permits stands at $52,409.50.
And September’s newly instituted hotel occupancy tax was down slightly from $17,000 in August to $14,432.
Sales tax collections for October came in at $695,206. For the fiscal year, sales-tax collections stand at $2,789,936.
The wholesale beer-tax figure for September was $64,053. Fiscal year to date, wholesale beer-tax collections were $199,794, while fiscal year to date liquor tax collections stand at $117,710.
