CRMC Launches Online Interactive Patient Chronicle

Cookeville Regional Medical Center introduces CaringBridge, a personal chronicle to share your healthcare journey.

CaringBridge Committee Chair Will Huffines said the online service was designed as a blog site for patients to chronicle their healing journey and request help from friends and family invited to their site.

“They want to do something for you, maybe bring your dinner, ” Huffines said. “They want to mow your lawn. The system is very nice that it sets up to where you can set up a calendar and people can plug in the days that they’re going to bring you dinner.”

Huffines said on the other hand you can send out a request that you could really use something from the store or you need your mail picked up. He said you can send that request out on your blog and receive responses on your calendar.

Huffines said the blog site is set up so that you can limit access to those that you want to be able to see it.

“It can be as public or as private as you would like it to be,” Huffines said.
