COVID Drive-thru testing times will be reduced beginning Monday.
The state is making the change to reduce the amount of time spent on COVID testing so health department workers can begin vaccinating residents. Testing will also not take place on holidays.
Over the holidays, drive-thru testing will only take place Tuesday at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. Tests will be available Tuesday December 22 and 29th from 8am to 5pm.
The state will make available COVID Self Tests Kits at the Putnam County Health Department off Willow Avenue Monday and Wednesday over the next two weeks. Residents can pick up a test, park, fill out the information and insert the swab in the nose. The test will then be turned back over to health department staff for submission.
Self tests can be picked up at the Putnam County Health Department from 9am to 3pm Monday and Wednesday over the next two weeks.
