Upper Cumberland Habitat relies on Volunteers to keep their ministry strong, and not just on the job site. They use volunteers in their basic daily operations, from ReStore volunteers to office volunteers and all the work in between. The group meets every Tuesday weather permitting and ride for roughly an hour. Afterwards the group meets for dinner (Dutch Treat) at the Casa Grande Restaurant located on the Miller Avenue Bypass. The riders consist of mixed skill set, from beginners to advanced riders, young (age 11) and old (age 66) male and female. This event will reise funds for the Community for Heroes project in Cookeville. Community for Heroes is developing an actual neighborhood for those veterans whose PTSD made re-integrating into their old lives impossible and they ended up on the streets. All veterans are welcome.
