Cookeville Man Facing Domestic Assault, Reckless Endangerment Charges

Cookeville Police arrested a Cookeville man following a domestic dispute Tuesday.

Authorities charged 23-year-old Zachary Yates with one count of domestic assault and reckless endangerment.

Arrest warrants state the incident began when Yates and his girlfriend began arguing while driving.

Yates then stopped to let the woman out and get her three-year-old and five-month-old children from the backseat.

Warrants state Yates allegedly began to drive forward while the woman removed the five-month-old child, putting her and the child in danger of injury.

Yates is currently being held at the Putnam County Jail under $3,250 bond. His initial court date is scheduled for March 25.
