A 26-year old Cookeville man died in a Friday shooting along North Franklin Avenue.
Zachary Drummond died after being transported to Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Cookeville Police responded just before 11pm Friday night to the 400 block. Officers found shots had been fired at a residence from the street. At least one round entered the residence and struck Drummond. Residents of the home transported Drummond to the medical center.
It is the second shooting in the area over the last week.
Cookeville Police continue to investigate.
