Cookeville Police arrested a Cookeville man Friday in connection with the armed robbery of the Burgess Falls Shell last Saturday.
52-year-old Shawn Wofford being held in the Putnam County Jail on $150,000 bond. He faces one charge of aggravated robbery. According to police, Wofford entered the convenience store last Saturday night, threatened the clerk with a handgun, and demanded money.
Police said Cookeville residents provided information to assist in the apprehension of Wofford.
The robbery happened just before 10pm last Saturday. Wofford allegedly left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
