A Cookeville man arrested Wednesday on 14 felony counts related to a child pornography investigation by Cookeville Police.
64-year-old Roger Burroughs booked into the Putnam County Jail on $425,000 bail. The investigation began in February when Cookeville Police received a cybertip about Burroughs being in possession of child pornography. A search warrant executed June 28. Multiple electronic devices seized from Burroughs’ residence.
“Forensic examinations of the seized devices yielded evidence of multiple crimes,” Cookeville Police reported.
Burroughs faces nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a class D felony as well as four counts of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, a Class C Felony. Burroughs also faces one count of Soliciting Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, a Class E Felony.
