Cookeville Electric and contracted cutting crews worked to restore power in the Park Village subdivision Thursday.
Director Carl Haney said two crews went into the subdivision off 10th street Thursday. Haney said that going into Thursday, outages were able to be cut from over 100 down to roughly 30, despite Wednesday night’s weather.
“It slowed it down, plus those trees and limbs already had a layer of ice on them,” Haney said. “Then last nights snow and rain added to that and cause more damage.”
Haney said power would be restored to the Park Village Subdivision on Thursday. Haney said their was extensive tree damage to power lines along the railroad tracks and back property lines.
