Construction Begins at Jackson Plaza for New Tenants

Construction is underway at the Jackson Plaza shopping center in Cookeville to make room for two new tenants next year.

The former Sears location will be divided with Hobby Lobby occupying 55,000 square feet while an unannounced tenant will take the other 20,000 square feet of space.

Jackson Plaza was purchased earlier this year by Rise Partners in Chattanooga, who announced Hobby Lobby as one of the two new tenants at that time. Architecture firm Artech is assisting in the design process of the new storefronts.

The new tenant will reportedly be a new addition to the Cookeville market. Construction is expected to be completed by summer 2019 with both tenants setting their own grand opening dates.
