The deadline for Upper Cumberland students to apply for a Community Foundation Scholarship comes Tuesday.
Community Relations Director Pat Embry said 150 scholarship funds exist established by donors to help students through college.
“Last year, we gave out almost $750,000, and six students from Putnam County Schools were benefactors of that,” Embry said.
Embrey said several Tennessee Tech students have also benefited from scholarships. Embry said you can apply by visiting the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee website under the grants and scholarships tab.
A scholarship committee will review applications with recipients announced in April. The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee based in Nashville uses charitable funds to support nonprofits and students across the state.
