Clay County High School selling tickets for its 16th annual Father Daughter Date Night.
The event takes place February 19th at the high school’s cafeteria. FBLA Chapter Adviser Amy Dodson said the school’s golf team and FBLA club will host the event to fund-raise for programs.
“Father Daughter Date Night is just a great time for dad’s to show their daughters how they should be treated,” Dodson said. “There is a great meal, a full buffet and a full night of dancing and good times.”
Dodson said with each ticket purchased, families receive a free five by seven portrait. Dodson said the event is open to all and not specific to Clay County students. Dodson said even “Substitute Fathers” are welcome.
“Like grandfathers, uncles are welcome to bring their children, because we do have some little girls who have lost their fathers and will have other people to bring them,” Dodson said.
Dodson said the proceeds from the pictures and tickets will go back to the high school’s golf team and FBLA chapter. Dodson said your purchase can help send a future business leader to compete at the state level.
“Three days in Chattanooga and those fees add up,” Dodson said. “So every dollar we can fund-raise this way while giving people a great time and they’re getting something for their money. This has been really successful for us.”
The event begins at 6:00 p.m. February 19th at the Clay County High School. Tickets can be purchased at Bank of Celina, Macon Bank and Trust, the high school’s front office and online at https://forms.gle/cNZRLbLXgib4qzS18. One daughter and father costs $35. Each additional daughter costs $20.
