Clay, Bees, White, York At Home Friday, Round 1

The 2024 TSSAA Football Post Season begins with home games for Clay County, Upperman, White County and York Friday.

In 1A, region four top seed Clay County will host Sale Creek Friday night. The winner goes on to face the Whitwell/Jo Byrns winner in week two.

Red Boiling Springs with travel to South Pittsburg. The winner will face the Gordonsville/Chattanooga Prep winner in week two. Gordonsville is the number two seed in region four.

In class 2A, York Institute will host Hampton Friday night. The top seed finished 8-2 with a win over Polk County. Hampton saw game dates and times changed after damage to its school and football stadium from Hurricane Helene. The winner plays the Happy Valley/Polk County winner in round two.

Monterey will visit (6-4) Forrest Friday night. Monterey is the #3 seed in region three while Forrest finished with the second seed in region four. The winner faces the Cannon County/Westmoreland winner in round two.

Smith County goes to (8-2) Marion County in round one Friday.

In Class 4A, Upperman carries its perfect 10-0 regular season against Signal Mountain for a round one home matchup in Baxter. Signal Mountain finished 6-4, as the number four seed in region three. If the Bees win, they would face the winner of Soddy Daisy/Macon County in week two.

Stone Memorial, the fourth seed in region four, must battle (10-0) Loudon on the road Friday night. The winner will play the winner of White County and Red Bank. The Warriors finished 8-2, as the number two seed in the region four. White County will host the game Friday night. Red Bank finished (6-3) as the third seed in region three.

The 6A bracket begins Friday night with (8-2) Cookeville on the road to (8-2) Riverdale. The winner faces the Green Hill/Blackman winner in round two.
