Christmas Parades Crank Up Saturday Across Region

Christmas parade season goes into overdrive this weekend across the Upper Cumberland.

Pickett County is celebrating the holidays with the “Christmas in Byrdstown” event and Christmas parade Saturday. It will be at the Pickett County Library featuring music, food, and even an appearance from Santa Claus. The event begins at 9am.

The Jamestown Rotary Club hosts its annual parade Saturday at 10:00 am. The event is called “A Bicentennial Christmas” to celebrate Fentress County’s 200th year in Tennessee.

McMinnville’s Christmas parade begins Saturday at 2pm on Main Street. Smithville’s Christmas Parade begins Saturday at 4pm. The event will be followed by the 22nd annual Christmas on the Square from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.

Saturday night, Gainesboro’s Small Town County Christmas parade takes place at 5:30pm. Monterey’s nighttime parade begins at 6:30pm.
