New Cookeville Budget Includes Proposed Bond Issue For Aquatics Facility

Cookeville City Council approved the first reading of its 2022-2023 budget Thursday night, including the addition of a bond issue for a proposed aquatic facility. Tennessee Tech students found a rare plant species that only has four other discovered populations. The plant called the Cumberland pagoda-plant was found near the Appalachian Center for Craft in Smithville. A total of 54 people participated in the Livingston election Wednesday with all three Aldermen candidates automatically winning at-large seats.
