Black Ice On Roadways Main Concern Entering Night

Pickett County road conditions have improved throughout the day, but black ice the main concern entering nightfall.

Sheriff Dana Dowdy said main and state roads are passable. Several secondary roads and most bridges remain treacherous. Dowdy said Clark Mountain remains frozen.

Dowdy said no major vehicle accidents have been reported and most cases of power outages are restored.
