Baxter Woman Charged After I-40 Crash

A Baxter woman faces charges after her vehicle struck a motorcycle on Interstate 40 Tuesday.

The accident happened near westbound mile marker 284 in Putnam County.

Tennessee Highway Patrol arrested 21-year-old Elyssa Rose Davis for DUI and reckless endangerment. A crash report said Davis was driving a Chrysler 300 that crashed into a motorcycle driven by David P. Secrist of Colorado.

The 57-year-old Secrist suffered injuries during that crash. His condition remains unknown at this time.
