Baxter Planning Commission approved rezoning a 60-acre property off Baxter Road.
The zone would go from Low-Density Residential to a Super High-Density Residental. The request came from Dixon Trust.
Dixton Trust Representative Chad Gilbert said that the development would be a mixed-use site of both single and multi-family homes. He said that while it was still early on the master planning phase, they want to have a central amenity center and pool within the property.
Mayor John Martin requested that when planning the property, designers would keep townhomes towards the back of the property and single-family residential towards the front to preserve the charm of the property.
