Baxter Man Physically Assaults Father in Moving Vehicle

Authorities charged a Baxter man with domestic assault after investigating an accident in Cookeville Wednesday.

Cookeville Police arrested 31-year-old Levi Scott and booked him into the Putnam County Jail $10,000 bond.

According to arrest warrants, the accident occurred in the area of West Broad Street and South Willow Avenue just before 12:30 p.m. Scott’s father was driving the vehicle when Scott physically assaulted him.

The assault left red marks on the right side of the victim’s neck, temple, and nose.

Scott is scheduled to appear in court Monday, Oct. 15.
