An international company is establishing its first North American production facility in Red Boiling Springs
French industry Babynov USA, a division of Global Baby, will provide 150 jobs for the county. The company makes organic baby food.
“We remain committed to supporting job growth in rural Tennessee, and an investment like this from Babynov USA will spark economic activity in Macon County and the rest of the region,” Governor Bill Lee said.
Babynov USA plans to invest $44.9 million into the project, which includes renovating a pre-existing facility.
“We are blessed to have Babynov USA locating its North American venture in Red Boiling Springs,” Macon County Mayor Steve Jones said. “This will create some desperately needed jobs to our area. We look forward to working with the company and hope to see them in production in 2021.”
According to a press release, Tennessee is home to over 1,000 foreign owned industries employing 150,000 individuals. France is in the top ten countries for foreign investment in the state. Babynov USA CEO Bruno Romand-Monnier said the industry felt welcomed in Tennessee.
“We believe we found a place where our business will thrive,” Romand-Monnier said. “The feedback on the engagement and reliability of the people of Tennessee motivated us to settle here. We now look forward to building our team and thank Tennessee government for its continuous support.”
