Crossville will pursue new metering systems out of its main water system and replace household meters in an effort to curb water loss. 2 COVID Deaths At CRMC; Active Cases Down

Cookeville Regional reports two more COVID-19 deaths, both residents from Putnam County. One resident died Monday, the other Sunday. 19 people died statewide Monday from COVID, according to the Tennessee Department of Health. 22 patients remain hospitalized with COVID-19 at CRMC. Price Tag For Police Third Floor Comes In At $536K

The completion of the third floor inside the new Cookeville Police station will cost just under $536,000. Cookeville Police Chief Randy Evans said the completion date of the department would be pushed to January, 2023 with the addition of the third floor. Putnam Reports $6 Million In Building Permits

Putnam County reported some $6.1 million in building permits issued during the month of July. Local Groups Search For Missing Monterey Man

Several community groups including the Monterey Lions Club Disaster Response Team searched Sunday for a Monterey man who is missing. Arnold “Chigger” Vaughn has not been seen since Monday.
